The bloom of Miyama-Kirishima
Hello,
We are in the middle of rainy season here now. Rainy season generally begins from June and it lasts till early July in Kyushu area.
During this season, it is humid, muggy and hot, but it is also the best season to see "Miyama-Kirishima",
whicih is a kind of the Azalea. (scientific name : Rhododendron kiusianum)
We can enjoy Miyama-Kirishima in the Kuju Mountain Ranges, located in Taketa-city, Oita. It blooms between late May and mid June. On sunny day, many people hike in Kuju Mountain Ranges and enjoy the magnificent scenery, Miyama-Kirishima just like pink carpet, fresh green and blue sky.
You find the further information in "Teppan! OITA," web media that recommend good places to visit.
