Youra Observatory 4
The Youra Observatory is located at the peak of a cape, accessible by crossing the mountain pass toward the Kubodomari area in Youra. On clear days, you can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view, with visibility extending as far as Shikoku. To the north, you’ll see the overlapping peninsulas of Kannonsaki, Kusunoki-no-Hana, and Saganoseki Peninsula. Across Tsukumi Bay and Usuki Bay, you can spot Takashima and Mukushima. Looking east, you can admire the tip of the Youra Peninsula and Hotoshima Island. The breathtaking views make it an excellent spot to stop and rest during a drive. Starting in early February, the Kawazu cherry blossoms begin to bloom, reaching their peak viewing season around mid-February.
