Kyoshuho 6
Kyoshuho is one of the most famous scenic spots in Yabakei. Some people, such as Ono Ouzan, buried their bones in this village, fascinated by this strange scenery. The scenery consists of a 1-kilometre-long series of giant peaks and oddly shaped rocks, including the first, second and third peaks from the Hida side, Ebisu-iwa, Onimen-iwa, Daikoku-iwa, Myoki-iwa, Tono-iwa, Tsurigane-iwa, Jin-no-iwa, Hachioji-iwa and others. Kyoshuho can be viewed by passing through the Ao no Doumon (Blue Cave Gate), touching the rock surface and looking up from directly below, or from the banks of the Yamakuni River, or from the Kyoshuho scenic trail that runs along the mountainside.
